ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Soheil – a passionate and experienced science and maths tutor based in Perth.

I hold a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Western Australia (UWA), along with a Bachelor in Applied Physics and a Master’s in Atomic and Molecular Physics. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve taught and tutored hundreds of students across Australia and overseas – from primary school to high school and university levels.

I specialise in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Coding, and Astronomy, and tailor every session to suit each student’s level and learning style. Whether you’re preparing for ATAR exams, struggling with a tough uni course, or just want to build confidence in science and maths – I’m here to help.

I’m also proudly involved in UWA’s Physics Department Outreach Team, delivering science talks and engaging workshops to high school students and the general public (e.g., at SciTech). I hold a valid Working With Children (WWC) Check, and since 2019, my tutoring service has been recognised as one of the Most Popular Tutorial Activities in the region – based on visits, reviews, and community engagement.

We offer tutoring for:
  • Primary and High School: Maths (Applications, Methods, Specialist), Science, Physics, Chemistry, Coding
  • University-level: Physics, Astronomy, Statistics, Computer Science (Python, R, MATLAB). We cover most major curriculums: WACE, ATAR, VCE, SACE, HSC, QCE, TASC, and more. Both in-person and online lessons are available.

❓ Do you offer online or group tutoring?

Yes! We offer both online tutoring and small group sessions. Group lessons are available at a discounted rate, and we ensure that each student still receives personalised attention.

❓ Is tutoring available during school holidays?

Yes, we offer tutoring throughout the school holiday period, including custom holiday programs and summer catch-up sessions. Get in touch to find out what’s available.

❓ What is the duration of a lesson?

Each tutoring session runs for approximately 60 minutes, whether in-person or online. Longer sessions can be arranged if needed.

❓ How can I stay informed about my child’s progress?

We provide regular updates to parents through short progress reports, phone calls, or emails. You're also welcome to schedule check-ins with us anytime.


❓ Can the tutor come to my home?

Yes, face-to-face tutoring at your home is available (in selected areas of Perth). We also offer convenient online sessions if preferred.

❓ Are there any free study resources or materials?

Yes! We offer free resources, notes, and worksheets to support your learning — sourced from top universities, high schools, and trusted academic sources.

❓ What services does Easy Science Tutoring provide?
